Last night, I was going to create a Vlog Talk video where I show you my toddler doing crazy things and misbehaving.
But then at around 7:30 p.m. Handsome decided he’d trump my vlogging plans by doing this:

And this:

…with a black crayon.
So instead of vlogging, I spent last night doing this:

Thankfully, we had our microfiber couch treated with Scotch Guard when we first bought it. Kudos to hubby for suggesting we do that before Handsome was even in the picture. It only took about 30 minutes of scrubbing with soapy water to get the black crayon out.
But I got it all out.
And that’s why crayons aren’t for toddlers. Trust me on this one.

P.S. Just before my arms were so tired they nearly fell off, I took a second to throw away all the crayons. Just in case he gets inspired to create another masterpiece.

Oh no! We haven’t given Baby crayons yet, but I know he is getting some for Christmas. We’ll be on the lookout for couch scribbling now

Yeah I don’t think he’ll be using crayons for awhile! I may just sign him up for a painting class where he can go crazy!

Oh no! I have a microfiber set that I absolutely hate because it shows every little mark. I think I’ll learn from Handsome on this one and buy a new set!

Yes, crayons are not for toddlers – though mine still try to eat them more than destroy things with them . . .

Thanks goodness for the after photos. Oy.
My husband is a designer so we have Sharpies everywhere. I try to murmur at least once a day, “It’ll be ok,” because I know it will happen.

My couch has had a lot worse things done to it! You’re lucky it was only crayon. Messes and kids go hand in hand. Thank goodness for Scotch Guard!
