On Saturday I will be the mother of a two-year old. It still feels a little weird to say, I must admit. I want so badly for him to stay a baby. But he’s not. He’s entering the terrible twos and already starting to dramatically throw himself to the floor when showing his dissatisfaction with me. Nice, huh?
Tantrums aside, I’m happy to say that my little cave man now uses utensils to eat his mac and cheese. Yay (and it’s about freaking time)! This is a major improvement from scooping it into his mouth with his hands.
I never thought I’d be so proud of something so simple as using a spoon.

And then I became a mom.

Didn’t I tell you this kid has an awesome life? Feet up and everything. Dang.

We’re still working on using utensils here. I’m embarrassed to tell you how old my kids are.

I’m impressed! Mine hasn’t even thought about utensils, other than trying to poke people with them or stick them in his hair.

That is so true. Applause, applause. They used a spoon. Great insight. Great pics.

We learn so much about ourselves after having kids. It’s always the little things that make us so happy. Like using utensils or the toilet (but not those two at the same time).

My son turned two at the end of January and is using utensils the way they should be! I love it although there are times when he resorts back to using his hands again.

My “two-and-change” boy is actually getting halfway-decent with a spoon . . . it’s scary & awe-inspiring all at the same time.

Smart, just like his Momma.
